Vehicle Overview
The Ford Expedition is a truck-based, full-size SUV that can carry up to eight people. It competes with the Chevrolet Tahoe, Toyota Sequoia and Dodge Durango. An extended version, called the Expedition EL, is about 15 inches longer and has a standard third row. It competes with the Chevrolet Suburban.

Exterior Highlights
The Expedition features squared-off four-bar grille and angular headlights, a rear window can open independently of liftgate, capless fueling system, fog lamps, exterior keypad system, heated mirrors, and 17 inch wheels all standard. Option to upgrade 18- or 20- inch wheels, available as well as rain-sensing wipers, power moonroof, power running boards, and power liftgate available.

Interior Highlights
The full-size SUV has comfortable seating for up to 8 in three rows with the third row folding flat into the floor. Optional power-folding third row available. Auto-dimming rearview mirror and leather-wrapped steering wheel come standard. Additional options include sync multimedia system, heated and cooled front seats, navigation system, and DVD entertainment system.

Under the Hood
The Ford Expedition runs through a 310-horsepower, 5.4-liter V-8 with 365 pounds-feet of torque in standard six-speed automatic transmission. It runs on either regular gas or E85 ethanol, and comes standard in rear-wheel drive or option for four-wheel drive. Optional load-leveling suspension available, with a maximum towing capacity of 9,200 pounds, when properly equipped.

Safety Features
The Ford comes with standard safety options such as trailer-sway control, MyKey programmable vehicle key, front-seat side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags, electronic stability system with anti-rollover technology, and four-wheel-disc antilock brakes. Optional backup camera available.
